Our Notes: FASTING & FEEDING Days

This is NOT MEDICAL ADVICE.

FASTING Days

  • After recording our weight drink at least 8 ounces of water.

  • When hungry, try a pea size ball of butter with pinch of salt and a little warm water.

  • Drink water when desired, but don't drink more than you feel you need.  Excess urination depletes electrolytes.

  • Although coffee is fine, not too strong in an empty stomach.

  • STAY DISTRACTED/BUSY

  • Break a fast with water, wait, then a little fat. Start meals with some fat. Finish meals with salts then fat.

  • Fats R Friends

FEEDING Days:

  • After recording our weight drink at least 8 ounces of water.

  • No Snacks - There are only planned meals.

  • Eat some fat at least 5 minutes ahead of protein.

  • 3 Grams of Glycine at bed and L-Lysine by itself in the morning. All other take supplements I take with meals.

  • My electrolytes et al are on THIS PAGE

  • DAILY TOTAL CARBOHYDRATE INTAKE UNDER 20 GRAMS

  • To achieve protein synthesis; our intake minimum of 30-40 grams of protein per meal may be supplemented with a protein shake. These shakes also good to help wash down the salts.

None of this is medical advice. We do not give out medical advice. Blah, blah, blah, this is not medical advice, goddamn lawyers, blah, blah blah.

Salt substitutes: Some people, such as those with kidney disease or who are taking certain medications, should consult their healthcare provider before taking salt substitutes because of the risk of hyperkalemia posed by the high levels of potassium in these products.

In addition to KCl there's Potassium Citrate. K₃C₆H₅O₇  Approx. 1.4 g yields 448 mg of K. Finally Potassium Gluconate hardly yields enough K to be worthwhile. 5.99 g of potassium gluconate contains 1 g of potassium. It has a density of 1.73 g/cm³.

OF COURSE we on Keto enjoy the benefits of chocolate. Of course I follow sound medical advice. First let a block of Philly Cream Cheese come up to room temperature. (FULL fat of course.) Work it a bit in a bowl. To which add the dry ingredients e.g. Erythritol (confectioner only) and instant espresso to taste. To help release the 0.5 to 0.8 cup or so of cocoa I separately heat about a half a stick of butter then add in the cocoa. Then heat off. Bring it all together with a "serving" of Lily's chips and maybe a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Some like a dash of sea salt. Oh, here's the link to the video about the wonderful health benefits of chocolate
